The Kestrel 38 is designed for short-to-medium duration backpacking trips or adventures that require carrying a moderate amount of gear. This roomy backpack provides enough volume for two-day adventures. Access to your gear is made easy with a large zippered side opening that extends from the flap to the compression straps at the bottom of the bag. This gives the bag a convenient entry point for finding your stuff at a glance. The Kestrel 38 also features access under the top flap with a drawstring closure, as well as a lower sleeping bag compartment with a removable divider.

The Kestrel’s back system was designed with comfort and stability in mind, featuring a proven AirScape back panel, waistbelt, and sturdy shoulder straps that allow for comfortable heavy lifting. The adjustable design allows you to easily customize the height of the back panel using the shoulder blade hook and loop system.

The Kestrel 38 is loaded with compartments to store all of your backpacking gear, including reinforced nylon water bottle pockets, two zippered waistband pockets, a large front slip pocket, a top flap pocket, a pocket under the top flap with key fob, and a hydration pocket that is accessible from the outside
